Description:

Brown scarab with a pale head and thorax. They are covered from head to tarsi with short pale scales. They are about 1.5 cm long and have very long legs like a flower chafer. Where the body has been brushed or rubbed, the scales fall off. Family Scarabaeidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light. Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, Soconusco area of southern Chiapas, Mexico. About 1 hour from Tapachula.
