Field Notes

Description:

Alone on a 'soft' forest tree leaf; about 12mm long; translucent, patterned wings; orange-red thorax-head.

Habitat:

In parkland within tall euclayptus forest; on a native 'soft' leaved plant - possibly Pomaderris sp.

Notes:

Unfortunately I only got one shot of it before it flew off. Characteristics are 'crossed' eyes' 'upheld wings' The blue tints on the wings might be some reflection or refraction of sky?
