It most definitely is a poppy, it looks to me a lot like a field poppy, so you should look under papaver family (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papaver), but the leaves confuse me a bit-they look like Papaver miyabeanum, but it's flower is red-you should definitely look it up. Tell me what you find :)
