Field Notes

Description:

A small fungus beetle, approximately 3 centimetres in length and 4 centimetres in width. It looks similar to a lady bug except with a black shell and orange dots instead of red and black. It was not near any other fungus beetles so it was traveling alone.

Habitat:

Found next to a fungus growing on a tree. Found in the Singapore American School rainforest. Which is a nature reserve where plants and trees cannot get cut down.
