Field Notes

Description:

Four lemon yellow forelegs and grey and white banded rear legs; a strongly black and white banded abdomen; ovipositor is robust and abdomen length; long fine antennae all black; black head and eyes with a siingle white spot just back from the eyes; about 26mm long not including antennae.

Habitat:

On Kennedia sp. climber in a local nature reserve adjoining national park.

Notes:

The 'horses head' can be seen in pic #2 Pimplinae seems likely.. Still to find species. Might be a Melbourne specialist Flyman13, Vinny and Leuba have it.
