Description:

1/4 - 1/2 inch pollinator. Collecting pollen inside Eastern Skunk Cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus)

Habitat:

Open woodlands near a small brook

Notes:

Photo #6 shows the inside of the Eastern Skunk Cabbage. Video is better than the photos. If you turn the sound up, you can hear the noise the insect makes to help with ID.

Thanks so much Karan Puracan. I guess it was obvious, but I have difficulty with bee ID. It was great to see one so early in the season.
