Field Notes

Description:

This water bird has long yellow legs, long thin bill, spotted feathers on back and wings, white underside and white tail, with long wings. He was very loud and noisy as he flew off.

Habitat:

This bird stopped at the pond by my house as he was migrating to the far north. He is not common to this area.
