Field Notes

Description:

Small bird it blended in with the dead bamboo leaves on the ground and flew away if you got too close.

Habitat:

In a wet area of a garden lawn, near a sprinkler and under a bamboo thicket in the fallen leaves.

Notes:

It seemed to prefer to stay near the damp areas the sprinklers had created. If frightened away it would return to the same position over and over again.
