Description:

This small spider belonging to the Theridiidae Family (Comb-Footed Spiders) presents with long fore legs and whose third pair of legs from the front are the smallest. They have 'comb like' setae on the tarsi of the fourth pair of legs which act like a web casting system to pin down prey.

This is a pale version of L. Geometricus with a striking abdomen. this family of spiders also includes the infamous Black Button Spider which is well know in Southern Africa for its Neurotoxic venom.

Habitat:

Common on the irregular plastered surfaces of gardens which mimics the rough faces of stones and boulders.
