Description:

The slaty-breasted wood rail (Aramides saracura) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is distinguished from other Aramides wood-rails in the region by the grey on its belly as well as its head and neck. Note also its greenish bill. <br><br>

Habitat:

The Slaty-breasted Wood-rail is a bird of south-east Brazil and neighbouring parts of Paraguay and Argentina. It is found in forest and woods preferring marshy and boggy areas and is generally difficult to see.<br>

I found this couple very close of my house, at the edge of Quitandinha River, in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro.
