this butterfly appears to almost have no markings on the underside of its wings.

rainforest, 1400m

YES!! I am happy with my extrapolation ;-)...
With your suggestion I learned that I might have the dorsal shot. I've added it, does this match up?
Pieridae (!), Dismorphia sp. and I have again to extrapolate from a dorsal shot to the ventral. So my closest guess is Dismorphia feodora, male: http://butterfliesofamerica.com/L/dismorphia_crisia_foedora_live.htm
