Field Notes

Description:

Medium-sized turtle with a dark shell that has olive lines running across the carapace, dividing the large scutes. The margin of both the carapace and plastron have black and red markings. The head, neck, and legs have yellow stripes. The plastron was yellow-orange in color.

Habitat:

This turtle was on the side of a road at a nature center. The area had lots of freshwater and wet, deciduous forests.
