Description:

This is a Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis, 1 day before emerging into a beautiful Monarch Butterfly

Habitat:

This was originally collected from a milkweed plant as a caterpillar and then transported to my home so we could witness the metamorphosis process daily in our yard. She emerged the following day and flew off to conduct her business.
