Field Notes
Description:
small iridescent flies hanging around a garden water feature and on the lily pad. One was was apparently eating and didn't move. The others lit and moved constantly and had normal mouth parts

Notes:
The one eating look as if it had a gas mask face rather than prey, at least until I got my photos on the computer
