Description:

This beautiful medium sized bird presents with a striking orange bill, legs, and eye area set in a stunning black feathered body. As pictured in this series, this bird is a tidal zone specialist, seizing the opportunity at lower tides to feed on exposed shell fish and any tasty tit bits it can find. it specialises in mussels and oysters.

Habitat:

Common around the coastal waters of the cape.
