Field Notes

Description:

Slender; pale to dark bluish body with numerous blue and dark horizontal lines; upper lip yellowish; yellow band through eye. Groups feed on zooplankton. Up to 50 cm in size.

Habitat:

Inshore (often turbid) and outer reefs in 5-25 meters depth.
