Description:

Chrysomelidae; Cassidinae; Aspidimorphini; Laccoptera tredecimpunctata (Fabricius, 1801). This Tortoise Beetle is mainly golden brown in colour and has distinctive black marks on its elytra and prothorax. The black spots on the prothorax of this one seem to be slightly faint, compared to those on my previous spotting - https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/427689357.....

Habitat:

This Tortoise Beetle was spotted, in our backyard, on Yam (Ipomoea batatas) which is known as Kamote, in the Philippines. Plant information is from - http://www.stuartxchange.org/Kamote.html.....
