Field Notes

Description:

They are a dark blue on top and pale yellow on bottom. There are faint vertical stripes running down the body, and the "ear" is all black.

Habitat:

Found in North America east of the Rockies. He was found in a spring fed pond, and was returned to the water after pictures.
