Field Notes

Description:

This duck is a little out of range for a decent picture, but I decided this is the best I was gonna get after countless failed attempts at capturing a wigeon. White forehead and forecrown and broad dark-green patch extending from behind eye to nape. Location possible for breeding range, but more likely traveling through on migration.

Habitat:

Marsh, about 20 miles from Lake Huron
