Field Notes

Description:

Plenty of tail-slapping humpback action! At least three individuals are pictured. The last photo shows two whales next to each other as one sprays water out of its blowhole.

Habitat:

These individuals were spotted in the Pacific Ocean, just off the coast of Maui, although humpback whales are found in almost all major oceans.

Notes:

On this whale watching tour, I got up close and personal to humpbacks without getting wet!
