•The males have a green head and grey wings, females are brown.
•They eat water plants, insects, crustaceans and worms.
•Their predators are raptor birds, mustelids, snakes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, turtles, large fish, felids and canids.

Arctic tundra, subtropical regions, wetlands, ponds, parks, rivers, lakes, estuaries, shallow inlets, open sea
