Description:

The lizard in the image is "Sitana Ponticeriana". It is often found in areas near Wai, Satara (West India). Their mating season starts during summer & lasts for about 20 days. Males attract females using their Gular appendage. The appendage is very colorful & is visible from afar. Length is around 4"-5" inch. Its diet consists of small insects.
