Wood Sorrel
Oxalis crassipes
25.7337, -80.3729
Field Notes
Habitat:
Ground cover in shady spots, woods, forests, gardens.
Notes:
Today I noticed a rather large patch of sorrel growing in my parents' back yard. It caught my eye because the leaves where much bigger than the yellow sorrel I'm used to seeing in the garden. Then I noticed that it had purple buds (pic 3). I thought, I whish they were open; I guess I'll have to come back in a day or so. However, when I went out again after lunch they were open.
