Field Notes

Description:

Greenish brown moth, about 1.5 cm long, with a brown spot on the upper wing edge.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula.

Notes:

I thought when I was photographing this moth in the night that it was Hubner's Olive Moth, a Geometrid (Sphacelodes vulneraria). Now after looking at the pictures, I no longer think so. Maybe another species of Geometrid.
