Description:

Brown-grey squirrel about 25cm tall.

Habitat:

Eastern United States, Southeastern Canada, Britain, Ireland, western North America, Italy, South Africa

Notes:

These squirrels for sure are more courageous than the ones in Slovenia.

It certainly is a Grey Squirrel, Sciurus Carolinensis. The Red Squirrel which you see all over the rest of Europe is restricted to just a few scattered colonies in the UK as the Grey Squirrels (which were introduced from America) drive them away.
