Description:
A dark green, darkling beetle, specifically a long-jointed bark beetle (Tenebrionidae: Lagriinae) See: http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_darklings/Lagriinae.htm This species has a pair of very faint reddish brown spots, with one spot positioned midway along the edge of each elytra. Habitat:
Spotted in a large semi-urban yard & garden situated next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest. This is in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
