Done, thanks for the help. Coming soon will be mammals from Borneo (Sabah), mostly Primates and Squirrels in addition to Birds and Butterflies.
I'm still trying to figure out the size of it. Initially when I saw it I thought 30-50cm snout to tail tip but looking now and comparing other things in other pictures it could be smaller, perhaps 20-30mm long. 11 Treeshrews listed for Malaysia but I need to discount those in Borneo only and check sizes, habitats etc. That means only 3 species and Pen-tailed and Pygmy have different tails so if it is a Treeshrew it has to be Common. At 30-40cm length that would fit. Based on that if you want to make a formal suggestion I will accept it.
With the ratty tail, short legs and compare to the surroundings it looks smaller than a mongoose or civet. I am thinking more like a Common Treeshrew. Squirrel like with long snout.
Nose seems long and pointed
