Description:

•They eat crustaceans, aquatic insects, molluscs, fish eggs, aquatic plants.
•They are diving ducks.
•Their main predators are birds of prey, but other predators prey the females and their broods, such as bears, weasels, minks, raccoons and even northern flickers and red squirrels.

Habitat:

Taiga, lakes and rivers of boreal forests, coastal waters
-I saw these ducks in Chicago (USA)
