Description:

Larger than a House Rat with a dark brown coat above and paler below. Long scaly tail with partially webbed feet and flattened tail (wider top to bottom).

Habitat:

Seldom seen far from a body of water that includes some wetlands.

Notes:

Constructs houses or lodges made from aquatic vegetation such as Cattails, also burrows in banks. Picture Four shows a near - by lodge.
