Field Notes

Description:

This moth likes to land on twigs or rope in order to do it's Yoga thing. The wings clasp the rope while the abdomen sticks out perpendicular to it's substrate. About 1 cm long. As you can see from the second picture, it will do the same thing on flat surfaces.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula.
