Field Notes

Description:

Saw something moving in the storm drain so was looking for it. Heard a shou, looked round and people were waving and pointing. Then I saw it so just stood still and photographed it - from a distance with a 400mm lens. After the other people walked past it continued across the road. Not more than a couple of metres long at full stretch. There are dozens of snake species here so I'll leave the ID to the experts. Spending too much time trying to ID butterflies already.

Habitat:

Catchment area nature reserve.
