Field Notes

Description:

The leaves are 10-14 cm long, and are a dark greenish color. The cacao pods are light green and have indented lines running vertical on the pod. The pods are unripe, as they turn orange when they are ripe. There were around 5 pods on the tree. The tree is not very tall, around 2 and a half meters.

Habitat:

The habitat is a sunny area close to the edge of the forest. It has a large space to grow, and is in a secondary rainforest. The tree is in a place that receives a good amount of water when it rains.
