Field Notes

Description:

A common wall lizard (Podarcis muralis subsp albanica), which I saved from a cat, and took it home. At first she was unresponsive and she was missing the tail, but in the overall she was with no significant wounds, no scratches or bittings. Two hours later she was running inside her box, so we decided that she was in good shape to be released back in to the wild, in a safer place.
She was spotted and collected in Volos city center, and she was released in an olive grove with high grass, in the outskirts of the city.
