Field Notes

Description:

The Woodchucks just started to come out of their holes, looking a tad scruffy. They have been in hibernation for the whole winter and are looking for a good clump of grass. A gentle creature. I enjoy watching them in the fields. The farmer that mows our fields for hay is not allowed to harm them.

Habitat:

open fields.

Notes:

We have pure black ones in this field. It appears this one has some black on it. Most are brown.
