Description:
•They eat mainly small mammals, but also eat birds and reptiles, occasionally eating carrion.
•Competition with over carcasses may occur with american crows. Larger raptors may steal their kills. Other competitors are great horned owls, hawks and american badgers.
•Females are up to 25% larger than males.

Deserts, grasslands, coastal regions, mountains, foothills, coniferous and diciduous woodlands, tropical rainforests, agricultural fields, urban areas
