Description:

This delicately coloured medium sized flower is the first stage of the fruit of an egg plant. Widely used in cooking it also takes the common name Melongene, Garden Egg, or Guinea Squash. The flower has a five-lobed corolla and yellow stamens.

Habitat:

Domestic Gardens and farms.
