Field Notes

Description:

About 2cm body length, cryptic coloration in shades of brown and green, the wings extend beyond the body; its head is slightly elongated upwards, placing the eyes above the rest of the body. This probably gives the grasshopper a nearly 360º vision.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region.
