I saw this small spider on the wall of the library.

Lauren these do deliver vicious bites!
I bet with the legs withdrawn, they look even more like a Velvet Ant. Nothing wants to mess with that!
When not running,These are very compact meaning that they keep their legs against the body ,possibly trying to be inconspicuous.
How neat! I've never seen one of these. They do look like Velvet Ants! Especially if they were moving through leaf litter!
