Description:

The Grey Fantail is most easily recognised by its constantly fanned tail and agile aerial twists and turns. Both sexes are similar in appearance: grey above, with white eyebrow, throat and tail edges. This species is quite inquisitive and will closely approach an observer. (Description from http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/)

Habitat:

Its preferred habitat includes sclerophyll forest, tea tree gullies and coastal scrub. It will also visit densely planted suburban gardens like mine where I took the photos

Apparently they don't visit suburban gardens that often Neil. I've seen a pair of them on and off over the last few weeks in my yard. I don't recall seeing one before this myself
