Description:

Protaetia afflicta afflicta (Cetoniinae:Cetoniini), a rose chafer not very common , although that could be the result of the dark appearance of that beetle, and also its foraging habits.
It was spotted near in Alykew beach, Volos city, Greece.

Notes:

According to Biolib, the subspecies is present in Cyprus, Greece(mainland, Aegean islands and Crete island) , Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
