Description:

Also known as the American Flamingo. The bird is approximately 4.5 feet in height. It has vivid pink plummage.

Habitat:

This is preserve, certified by EarthCheck, for native Yucatan species. The water is maintained in a brackish coastal level similar to that found in Petenes mangrove ecoregion of the Yucatan.
