Description:

The Malachite Butterfly, named after the beautiful green mineral, its size is aproximately of 7 cm long, its blaack and green colored, the patterns within the species always coincide, if not it´s a different species. I got lucky on the first picture, it flew over a banana tree leaf, and the sunlight was in the perfect orientation.

I love Malachites but I usually only see photos of the topwing. This view of the underwing is amazing.
