Description:
Chicory has a tough, hairy stem that grows 10-40 inches tall. The flower heads grow up to approximately1.5 inches wide and are usually bright blue.
Habitat:
Spotted in a meadow at Boyd Audubon
Notes:
Chicory has often been used in salad, as a food additive, medicinally, and used in adulterated coffee.
