Description:

Wildflower with multiple flower discs (yellow disc heads and yellow rays) on a long stalk. Plant is 1 to 3 feet tall with alternate, lobed leaves.

Habitat:

Native to United States. Growing on a pond dam at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park near Augusta (Richmond County), GA.

Notes:

It's also called Cress-leaf groundsel and Yellowtop. Thanks to chesterbperry for the identification of this wildflower.
