Field Notes

Description:

Size of sparrow, predominantly yellow weaver. Breeding male has a black mask extending to the crown (diagnostic) and yellow eyes (diagnostic), and blue grey legs. Female and non-breeding male are rather non-descript, with pale eyes and a bit yellower below than other female weavers.

Habitat:

Wooded savanna on banks of lake Langano of Ethiopia
