Field Notes

Description:

Overall Orange butterfly with black lines and black wingtips, which also contain white and light orange spots

Habitat:

Spotted at a native plant nursery in Tallahassee, FL. Most were found near the Milkweed native plant area and zinnia flowers

Notes:

Found at least 5 Monarch butterflies during Monarch migration Bioblitz week 2024. I thought this butterfly was striking until I spotted the chrysalis near it. How cool is that
