Description:

Note that the gape line stops below the eye. This is probably the most reliable ID feature. <br>
The bill and head are marginally shorter and thicker than the Great Egret while the body may show a slightly slimmer profile but these are next to impossible to determine on individual birds.

Habitat:

Wetland reserve.
