Description:
A caterpillar of a Tussock Moth with a cluster of insect eggs nearby. What is interesting about this caterpillar is that it is being infested by wasp larvae. Can you see the small oval was eggs on the sides of the poor caterpillar?
Habitat:
Plants behind Bombalai Jungle Lodge in Tawau Hills Park, Tawau, Sabah.
Notes:
>>>Map accuracy: 20m diameter. Spotted this during a walk alone near our hostel late in the afternoon. This species was formally categorized under Lymantriidae. This is my second parasitized caterpillar spotting in my life, this and the previous one are both spotted during Dan's visit to Tawau, he must have brought goodluck.
