Beautiful Bayucca! Thanks for sharing it. Hope you are on board for Amazon Awareness week again. It will be happening in mid July!
They are both beautiful spottings and brilliantly taken photos considering the lack of light, I can empathise about the deep rainforest having been to Guyana which is 80% rainforest and extremely hard to spot anything let alone tiny butterflies. what a great achievement for you :-)
Enjoy?? I was in paradise there! To my knowledge mine is the only wildlife picture on the web. Always the same problem in the rainforest. You will not see many of the same species but a lot of different species. And in the deep rainforest it is tricky to see any butterfly, they are there, but you will not notice them. But you may see some getting sunlight to warm-up: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8520599 http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8528471 Both were in the middle of nowhere in the rainforest, "no" light besides this opening in the canopy.
Beautiful spotting bayucca, did you enjoy Peru? Is this species rare due to habitat loss or other reasons?
