Description:
Bald eagle nest is a massive platform, usually built in a tree. Both male and female build nest. Thought to mate for life. Return to same nest each year, adding more sticks, enlarging it to massive proportions, at times up to 1,000 pounds (450 kg). These bald eagles look so small compared to the size of their nest.
Habitat:
St Marks National Wildlife Refuge, St Marks, Florida.
